BBC

Well done to Rachel Reid for her swimming adventure in Riyadh.
…and for crying out loud can't we all just get along?
I love the BBC

thank you! i missed that article...it made me remember when we lived there and how i had to find something else for my 4 year old daughter to do while her three brothers went to the pool with their dad...she's 28 now think i'll send her the article *L*

Rachel Reid story is a piece of crap when compared to the standards I expect from the BBC. Someone should tell Ms Reid that women in bikinis swim with men at the hotel beaches in Jeddah for like the past 25 years.

Hi Ahmed, I actually thought the title of her article was ironic, but given that she hasn't been in Riyadh very long its possible it was a mistake.
Anyway, as everyone from Jeddah takes great delight in telling me, Jeddah and Riyadh are very very different!

Did you read Nzingha's sarcastic rant in response to this particular non-news gem? Its a classic. She's at nzinghas.blogspot.com. Clearly this BBC journalist is clueless and she will be lucky if a mob of abaya clad swimming enthusiasts doesn't lynch her in the street somewhere for being such a moron!

lol that is hilarious!
I can't help but feel we're all being a bit harsh on poor Rachel Reid.
If she'd only asked she could have come to our compound...

Unlike the Navitimer collection, which by necessity of the slide rule, is on the large size, the sizes of the Omega Men's Watch in the Windrider collection vary from smallish to large and the collection features some nice ladies' watches. A very knowledgeable store assistant asked me to take a look at Breitling as well.
